Thought For Today

29-Jan-2004

Genesis 6:11 The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.

Genesis 6:12 And God looked upon the earth, and, behold, it was corrupt; for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth.

Genesis 6:13 And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

HMMMMM, sound familar? Is our earth today corrupt? Is it filled with violence? I would say that our world is quite corrupt. I don't know if it is corrupt as it was in the days of Noah or not, but it is corrupt! I would also say that our world today is filled with violence. Again, I don't know if the world is as violent as it was in the days of Noah or not, but it is violent!

I think that in the days of Noah, God looked down upon the earth, and saw the corruption, and violence, and I think it angered God! If God is looking down upon the world today, do you think what he sees pleases him? Or, do you think he would be angry? (AGAIN!) Do you think God would be happy with all of the corruption, and violence that is in our world today? Or, Would the violence anger him? (AGAIN!)

God made a promise to Noah to never destroy the earth with water again. But, with the world in such turmoil, and so much hatred in the world, and people killing other people by the thousands just because they don't believe the same way, do you think it possible that another chapter in God's book of the world is about to end?

If this is the end of another chapter in God's book of the world, then the next chapter would be titled something like this I think:

Jesus Returns For His Church, or maybe:

Jesus Fulfills His Promise To Return For His People, or perhaps something along the lines of:

Jesus Steps Out, or,

Every Eye Look Up.

As brother John from Africa would say: "Are you getting the understanding" Think about it OK?
